Welcome! We're a student based chapter of Kulen Outreach, an organization dedicated to providing quality education to children in rural Cambodia. Our club was founded to support Kulen Outreach through fundraising campaigns and through an English online exchange program where students from Kulen Outreach are able to practice their English with our members. Our volunteers are now primarily involved in tutoring for kids associated with SoCO Hong Kong, but all our fundraising activities are dedicated towards Kulen Outreach!

Income inequality between urban and rural areas of Cambodia is a major issue. Kulen Outreach pours their resources into providing their students as many opportunities as possible and built their facilities with the goal of giving the kids a safe environment to focus on their studies. In 2014, Kulen Outreach built 3 primary schools in Phnom Kulen. These were the first schools built in Phnom Kulen, and provided kids with a valuable educational opportunity.
Two years later, they built a residential facility in Siem Reap providing students with housing, food, and other necessities. In 2019, they were able to build a residential facility housing up to 100 students, 4 classrooms, a multi-functional community space and a food garden. Two of their primary schools, the Popel School and Bear School, now have 350 students. Clean drinking water, internet access, as well as food are among many of the necessities provided to the students, many of whom have to walk many kilometers just to get to school.
The small team at Kulen Outreach is comprised of kind people whole-heartedly dedicated to helping Cambodian kids who don’t have access to quality educational facilities. We’re very touched by what they’re doing and you’ll come to share our sentiments as well.
